We worked on this project in collaboration with architecture students, during a 3-days workshop. We picked Au Vieux Campeur, a familial brand that sells sports equipments and is slowly losing ground to big competitors like Decathlon and The North Face. We decided to freshen up its brand identity by turning the shop into an immersive and interactive experience, allowing you to test the equipment in real-life conditions.
Role : Concept, UI/UX design, motion design, branding
The project
We started the project by analyzing the brand, its weaknesses, its strengths and its competitors. We decided to use interaction design to showcase Au Vieux Campeur's values : their staff's expertise and the trustful relationship they have with their customers.
Our goal was to help the visitor project himself into his next trip. We also wanted to emphasize the quality of the equipment by allowing the customers to test it in real-life conditions.
Video mapping
Using the video mapping software Millumin, we took advantage of the high ceilings of our building to showcase pieces of equipment on the walls. I've also created different animations using After Effects. One for the interactive climbing wall and another to display various climbing shoes and accessories.
